Elena Herrero-Beaumont is partner of Vinces and adjunct director of the International Executive Program on Government & Corporate Affairs at the IE Business School. She is a lawyer registered at the Madrid Bar Association and a member of the board at Transparency International, Spain.
Before joining Vinces, Elena was head of international media relations at Garrigues. She previously worked as an investigative journalist and reporter in the United States and in Spain and her articles have been published on Forbes, the Tribune and El Confidencial. She worked as program coordinator at Nobel Laureate in Economics Joseph Stiglitz’s think tank, The Initiative for Policy Dialogue at Columbia University.She started her professional career as a Visiting Scholar at Northwestern University in Chicago, between the Political Science Department and the Kellogg School of Management researching and producing case studies in the fledgling field of non-market environment.
Elena was a Fulbright Scholar and a fellow with the Carnegie Corporation and the Knight Foundation. She holds a law degree with honors from Universidad Complutense; a Master in Financial Markets at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles; and a Master of Science in Journalism at Columbia University in New York. She is a PhD candidate at Universidad Complutense’s School of Law.
Elena is married. She is bilingual English-Spanish and speaks French.
